Hello
everyone and thanks for visiting my official website. We are
in the process of adding lots of new stuff – particularly archive
photos and expanding the FAQ section.
Two albums that have been hard to find in the USA are available
here as downloads with artwork – The
Time Machine and On
Air. All
the latest Alan Parsons Project compilation CDs and Expanded
Editions can be purchased directly from us when you click on ‘shop’ above.
Our
upcoming concerts and other appearances will always be up to
date under the ‘live’ button
above.
My best to you all and I hope to see you soon.

Alan’s latest project, The Art And Science Of Sound
Recording, which was created in conjunction with Keyfax
NewMedia, who manages this site, has now been launched online
at www.artandscienceofsound.com.
The first six sections of Alan’s encyclopedic look at the
recording process are currently available for streaming or download,
with prices starting at just $.99!
The series looks at the whole process of recording - from pre-production,
gear, arrangements, tracking, mixing, and more – from the
twin perspectives of someone who was ‘there then’ (multi-million
dollar recording studios and budgets the size of small European
countries) and is still ‘here now’ (sophisticated computer-based
environments you can set up in your living room).
Although Alan is the host – and it’s great to see
the man in action, placing mics, tweaking EQ, moving faders! – he
elicited the help of Billy Bob Thornton for the ‘behind-the-scenes’ role
of Narrator. This turned out to be a great partnership and signs
look good for the brand new Alan Parsons track All Our Yesterdays,
which was recorded especially for the series, to have its digital
release on Billy Bob’s Three Fingers label.
Watch this space. And check out www.artandscienceofsound.com where
you can find more than three hours of video material already!
P.S. For an interesting read check out a blog
entry about Alan's early days at the 'Coffin Club'. |
